PROP Loves Volunteers!

PROP is a volunteer-based agency with minimal paid staff. Volunteers are the soul of our organization. We could not function without their time, energy and support!

Many volunteers are needed to work in the food shelf, office, transport and for special projects. Most volunteer work is done on-site when our facility is open (weekday mornings and Wednesday evening). Some work on special projects or seasonal programs is done off-site.

Key volunteer positions include:
Food Shelf: receive, weigh, sort and stock donated food, prepare food orders for clients

Office Staff: answer phones, assist clients with paperwork, record keeping, and general office

Grocery Shopper: purchase needed grocery items at local grocery stores

Transport: occasional transport of food, clothing, and furniture

Computer Staff: maintain client database, type correspondence, and prepare mailings

Special Projects Coordinator: assist with coordination of seasonal programs (Gardening, School Supplies, Thanksgiving Food, and Holiday Gifts)

Seasonal Projects: assist with the collection and distribution of donations for our seasonal programs (Gardening, School Supplies, Thanksgiving Food, and Holiday Gifts)

Ambassador: generate support and donations by linking with other organizations and businesses in the community
