Food Shelf

PROP has a "needs-based" food shelf, designed to supplement the nutritional needs of families experiencing a temporary financial situation or transition in their lives. A four-day supply of food is given, based upon the number of people in the household. Click Here for eligibility and registration requirements.

New clients are required to meet with the Family Support Specialist to assess need by their third visit in order to receive ongoing food support. This person will determine how often and how long the client may access food.

    Items Available:
  • Nonperishable packaged and canned foods
  • A choice of hamburger, hotdogs, and goat meat (when available)
  • Margarine
  • Eggs
  • Frozen Orange Juice
  • Bread
  • Paper products
  • Laundry soap/dish soap
  • Personal Care Items
  • Diapers (limited to once per month)
  • Baby food and formula (when available)
Food that is given by PROP must be used by the people in the household. This food is not to be given away, sold, or stock piled. Click here for other food resources.
