Thanks to many generous supporters, PROP is already halfway to its three-year goal of raising $1.2 million. Now in the second year of the campaign, the balance of funds raised will be used to retire the mortgage and use toward three years of maintenance and operating costs.

PROP’s services have increased 400% over the past ten years. In 2000 PROP was serving 30 households weekly, and by 2009 that number had grown to 125. For several years, PROP operated out of a 2,500-square-foot space in the City Center, compliments of the City of Eden Prairie. The ever-growing need in the community eventually led to a search for a larger space that would accommodate more food storage, private meeting rooms for clients, and a safe and efficient environment for volunteers and staff.
Anticipating continued growth in demand for services, PROP’s first-ever capital campaign was launched in May of 2009 by the PROP Board of Directors. With the support of private and federal funds, PROP was able to purchase a building and move into its new space at 14700 Martin Drive in Eden Prairie in June of 2009. The new 8,600-square-foot facility provides an excellent and efficient environment in which to provide basic services and support to participants working toward long-term economic stability.
